The Rack tilt helm unit incorporates a machine cut pinion gear that engages a rack and cable assembly, which drives an armour standard core to minimise steering effort.



Tilt helms have specially modified shafts and are intended for use with tilt mechanisms only.

Applications:

Outboards to V6. Boats that exceed 40 knots or experience steering instability from engine flutter require twin cables.
